Alexa, More Than An AssistantJanuary 4, 2019
Alexa Assistant has become very popular because it is such a useful item to have in your home. Amazon’s Echo Dot has befriended Alexa.
The Need For More and More Knowledge.
The Dot can provide information on anything you want to know about. It is the artificial intelligence of our time. It can assist with anything we vocalize. It has no legs and arms and doesn’t do our physical work for us. But, it is very capable of meeting specific requirements on the need for knowledge. The need to access knowledge has taken the shape of a circular and useful tool.
Leisure Discovery Versus Instant Discovery
Encyclopedias, phone books, and travel brochures used to be the kind of references and sources we would utilize. Today, the fast-paced world makes it convenient for us to receive an answer to a question immediately. Information is at our fingertips. Leisurely skimming through pages and pages of reference books has become an idea of the past. Even accessing movies has become readily available through Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu.
Through the internet, we have a world of items that are reachable in our own home through the use of Alexa or other technological capabilities. Alexa is another addition in setting up an efficient working brain that discovers our need for information. Alexa also partners up with many devices in your home: phones and computers.
Why do we need Alexa? It is an information booth in our home. It also is an organizer linked to other devices. The Amazon Echo is arranged around your voice, and it is doesn’t require your hands but only your voice to give commands. Imagine having a device that will help you with almost every demand or question.
Robot or Reality
Now, your Echo Dot is a hands-free, voice-controlled device that uses the same far-field voice recognition as Amazon Echo. It can also connect to speakers or headphones over Bluetooth or through a 3.5 mm audio cable to deliver stereo sound to the customer’s speakers of choice. Alexa is a separate voice used through a number of devices. You can also talk directly to Alexa about her skills, which is comparable to a robot talking to you. Wake her up by simply calling out her name: Alexa.
The Echo interacts with the internet (the web) in the house. It also has a keen sense of receiving sounds from any direction in a room. It can play music and games, set timers, help with grocery lists, solve problems, and it even plays games. It interacts with you as well and can answer literal questions. Alexa’s voice is more than a personal assistant.
