Microsoft Edge is one of the fastest web browsers. Probably, It is the best modern browser from microsoft. After releasing windows 10, Edge was one of the main attraction. It performed very well though it had not some must having features. Slowly, Microsoft was improving this browser. Like me there are so many peoples were OK with it. But recently, Edge has become worst for some users after getting the windows 10 anniversary update. This update has brought extension support to Edge. But, Peoples can’t be happy because of several issues. Sometimes, They experience edge is stuck on a webpage and not responding. Again, It is performing slower than before. Recently, MS has brought extensions support in this browser. If you are using several extensions, You can disable them. Because, This is a new feature in this browser. Any of your extensions may affect browser performance. To do it –

    • Open Settings Menu and go to Extensions.
    • Now, Click on and Extension and you will have all related settings of that.
    • Switch off the extensions by toggling the appropriate on off button.

    Method 3: Reset Microsoft Edge

If first method doesn’t work as your expectation, You can reset microsoft edge by using powershell command. Reseting edge will set it to the default state. It will fix every single problem of edge. But, Before doing it, You should create system restore point. Because, If you do anything wrong, It may cause serious problem to edge. Anyway, Here are the steps to reset edge –

    • First of all, Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Packages. Replace YourUserName with your own username.
    • Now, Find the folder named Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe or something like this.
    • Delete this folder. This folder may still remain in that location. But make sure, This folder is empty.

    run windows powershell administrator

    • Now, Open Start Menu and open Windows Powershell as administrator.
    • Paste the following command and hit Enter.
